Vicky Kaushal On Making Wife Jokes
During a chat with The Nod Magazine, Vicky Kaushal opened up about people’s perception of him and also addressed the criticism around him. He stated that a public figure does not need to be perfect all the time, and acknowledged that, though sometimes they do deserve the “brickbats,” there was a lesson for him in this situation. The actor stated that with love also comes a sense of responsibility for him. Since he consciously chose this path, he sees both the recognition and its challenges as part of the journey. He added that handling fame is a personal responsibility and that constructive criticism can be a valuable opportunity for growth and learning.
For the unversed, in March 2026, a clip from a wedding showed Kaushal asking the groom’s father to get the groom to say, “How’s the josh?” After the audience responded with “High sir!” the actor quickly made a joke, stating that bachelors tend to have consistently high energy and enthusiasm, while married people often see that excitement gradually decline over the years. However, he added in a light-hearted manner that such changes do not happen overnight and certainly not within a few days of marriage.
