The actor is all set to join the Indian version of the web series, Citadel. The original version of the series created by the Russo brothers has Priyanka Chopra as its lead character, now that the Citadel universe is expanding, we have another beloved star from the industry joining it. The Indian spinoff is going to be directed by Raj and DK.

On December 20, Prime videos released an official announcement on its social media handle. It dropped the exciting news about Varun Dhawan joining the Citadel universe, and the announcement is huge definitely. In the poster announcement, we get the first look at the handsome and fierce Varun Dhawan. It also informs the audience that the shoot for the series will start in January 2023. Varun Dhawan will be playing the role of a spy and this new avatar will be really interesting to watch. The web series will be directed by Raj and DK, and they also shared the poster on their official social media handle to express the excitement and honour of directing the film.
