Urvashi Rautela Chops Off Her Hair In Solidarity With Iranian Woman, Mahsa Amini, And Ankita Bhandari

The death of the Iranian woman, Mahsa Amini sparked one of the strongest protests in Iran, the Anti-Hijab protest and the world is a witness to it. Videos of Iranian women chopping off their hair went viral on social media, and this was just one of the ways they showed their anger against the allegedly inhumane death of Mahsa Amini at the hands of the morality police. Women across the world have a part of this voice in some way or the other, and recently actress Urvashi Rautela also joined this protest by chopping off her hair and posting some pictures on her social media handle as well. Urvashi showed her support for the whole movement happening in Iran and also expressed this as her support for the death of Ankita Bhandari, who was allegedly murdered in Uttarakhand.

For her caption, Urvashi wrote that she has chopped off her in support of Mahsa Amini’s death, and also for the 19-year-old Ankita Bhandari. She also expressed her pride and respect for all the women in the world who have chopped their hair in this movement. Urvashi Rautela also called this the “Global Symbol” for the women’s revolution and wrote that by cutting their hair, women are breaking the beauty standards that have been set by society. In the caption, the actress clearly stated that if women all over the world start considering women’s issues as one that the whole of womankind is facing, then feminism will be stronger than before.

The step taken by Urvashi Rautela is really appreciated, and it is great to see that celebs are actually making themselves aware of the issues across the world, In fact, not just that, they are actually voicing their opinions on it and taking some strong and symbolic actions, like Urvashi just did. She also raised a very valid point about looking at every women’s issue as one that is every woman’s problem and not just the ones facing it, then the voices will become much stronger. Clearly, we should not choose to raise our opinions only on matters that concern us or our country, because being selective in this situation is not really the right call.
