Since Monday, DMK’s Udhayanidhi Stalin’s name has dominated the headlines after he delivered a speech that mentioned Chief Minister Vijay Thalapathy. However, it was his alleged remarks against Trisha Krishnan that caught everyone’s attention and made the speech go viral. Following this, the police reportedly arrested him at his home on Tuesday. Details About Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Arrest
As per NDTV, when Udhayanidhi Stalin was being escorted by the police, he was seen smiling. He further stated that he viewed the arrest as a “joke” and that he would take a legal route to fight it. DMK leader TKS Elangovan stated that nothing was said against anyone, adding that Udayanidhi has listed Vijay Thalapathy’s “failures”. According to him, there was nothing insulting in his speech, and he didn’t even mention actress Trisha Krishnan’s name. As per the report, TVK’s Americai Narayan stated that Udhayanidhi has not been arrested for speaking out against CM Vijay or TMK but allegedly insulted a woman. The TVK leader added that Udhayanidhi should call himself “vulgar-nidhi”.

What Did Udhayanidhi Stalin Say In His Speech?
Udhayanidhi Stalin addressed a protest gathering over the Cauvery dispute in Thanjavur, during which he reportedly alleged that Tamil Nadu had not received a single drop of Cauvery water while the CM remained unconcerned. Soon the crowd chanted Trisha Krishnan’s name. As per the report, Udhayanidhi paused his speech before making a remark that many interpreted as an innuendo about the actress.
It’s worth noting that this is not the first time Trisha’s name has been dragged when people have spoken about the CM. Previously, BJP leader Nainar Nagendra reportedly stated that Vijay should come out of Trisha’s house before entering politics. Trisha’s legal team responded on her behalf after that.
