‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ Trailer: Here For Ranbir, Shraddha’s Chemistry, But Not The Sexist Jokes
Kinda disagree with many relationship philosophies here.
For the very first time, we are going to witness Shraddha Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor come together for a romantic comedy, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar. The movie’s teaser announcement itself was a hit, and fans went crazy for this fresh on-screen couple. And now, the trailer of Luv Ranjan’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is finally here, but did it really give in to what we were expecting of it? Here are my thoughts on the same.

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar will show a not-so-loyal and honest love story between the characters of Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. Apart from these two leads, the movie will also feature veteran actor Dimple Kapadia. The trailer will also make all the fans of Anubhav Singh Bassi excited, as he plays the role of Ranbir Kapoor’s close friend. Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’s trailer takes us through the romantic journey of Ranbir and Shraddha’s characters, giving us a glimpse of the sizzling and fun chemistry between them. There are some relationship philosophies too that we get to witness in the trailer, and most likely we will have more in the film, let’s just that we might not agree with all of them. In the end, the trailer also reveals to the audience that the female character is probably not very honest in her relationship, and Ranbir Kapoor’s character makes up his mind to teach her a lesson.

Well, the first thought that came to mind was that Ranbir Kapoor’s character is quite a mix of his roles from films like Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahaani and Besharam. Expect a character that unnecessarily speaks too much and well kind of has sexist jokes about women. I kind of also cringed at some of the punch lines in the trailer. So on that note, this film might give us some Bachna Ae Haseeno and Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety vibes. Not to deny, I am looking forward to this fresh jodi on-screen because that definitely looks promising. The background romantic song sung by Arijit Singh is quite peppy and catchy and sets the mood of the film right.

All in all, I guess, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is going to be fun to watch, keeping aside those sexist and not-so-funny jokes. Well, the lead couple is the strongest point in the film, as many fans are awaiting to see them and let’s see how that turns out to be. The film will release on March 8, so the Holi plans look sorted.
