This comment of his was widely circulated on social media and drew criticism for its tone and content, prompting her issue a statement through her legal team.

The scandal began when Nagendran addressed Vijay’s political ambitions and suggested that he should ‘come out of Trisha’s house’ to gain experience and succeed in politics. This remark was made in response to Vijay’s assertion that his party would be a significant challenger in the upcoming Assembly elections. After this, Krishnan responded to this incident on X (Previously Twitter).
She wrote, “Disrespect should and always will be called out.” Her legal advisor, Nithyaesh Natraj, also shared a formal statement expressing her disappointment and clarifying her position regarding the issue without mentioning Nainar Nagendran’s name. The statement said that her client (Trisha) never expected such an inappropriate comment would be made by a person holding a high position in the state’s political space.
Trisha’s legal advisor reiterated that Trisha Krishnan is politically neutral, stating she is not affiliated with, and does not plan to join, any political party, and has always maintained distance from politics. The statement added that she wishes to be known only for her work, not her alleged political ties, stressing that personal lives should not become public debate. It ended with a request that her name not be dragged into unrelated matters.
