When asked about the lessons she learnt from her previous breakups, Prakash mentioned how her previous relationships taught her the importance of being independent. She spoke about her experiences of dating men, who insisted she not work. Talking about this she said–”I see a lot of these boys who have not accomplished something in their life and they are a part of their father’s business. So now, listen to the husband, his father because eventually it is his house that we are all living in and listen to the husband’s mother too.”

Adding to this she also said that then the kids are also raised according to their traditions. Eventually the girl then just loses her rights to the home and even to her kids. She mentions–”If this is happening, then stop it right there because I am going to love you and your family and would expect the same from them. So, from day one I have been very honest. Be it my good or bad things, I have been unfiltered. So, now you cannot be surprised tomorrow and can’t even expect anything different tomorrow. I have accepted and loved the person the way they are and you please love me for me.”

Interestingly she said, “I shouldn’t feel forced to like his family, because I love the guy. And it is the same for me. Like if you gel with my family well and well, if you don’t it is okay. I feel the couple here has to be the team and find what they are okay with, irrespective of these external factors.” This is what she learnt from her previous relationship that being independent is very important.
In the episode, Prakash puts a spotlight on the various aspects of her professional, emotional and personal life. Watch the entire episode here.
