Exclusive: Sanya Malhotra Recalls Being Touched Inappropriately By Fan, Says “Paps Saw It But Didn’t Help Me”

We often think that celebs’ are safe because they have the toughest security around them all the time. There have been instances when fans have crossed their limits and taken liberties to get into the celeb’s personal space as well. Especially when it comes to female celebs. These fans will think it okay to touch them without their consent but will behave the same way with male celebs. The recent Ahana Kumra incident is also proof of this. On the latest episode of The Male Feminist, Kathal star Sanya Malhotra also opened up about one such incident where a fan touched her inappropriately and the paps standing around did not help her.

In a conversation with Siddhaarth Aalambayan AKA The Male Feminist, Sanya Malhotra shares an uncomfortable incident that happened to her a couple of years ago. She said a male fan to have a selfie clicked with her but he placed his hand on her butt. Sanya says, “What the hell! Bhaiya, you have come to click a photo with me. Yeh mat karna.”

Kathal actress Sanya Malhotra also went on to say that the paps who were standing nearby saw that she was uncomfortable yet they did not do anything. None of them came forward to help her, she said. The 31-year-old actress added that she makes it a point to react if such incidents happen today. Malhotra also recalls calling the guy back to tell him that he did not behave correctly and was angry about this incident as well.
It s extremely sad that men think it is okay to invade a woman’s personal space. If such horrible incidents have happened to Sanya Malhotra who is a celebrity surely, they can happen to us common people, too! And as women, we are also conditioned to not raise our voices when such incidents happen. But not anymore. Shout at the top of your lungs if have to call out the perpetrator but keeping quiet is not an option.
