During the latest episode of Hauterrfly’s The Male Feminist, host Siddhaarth Aalambayan invited film Chhatriwali’s leading lady–Rakul Preet Singh for an interesting conversation. This entertaining and informative episode took us closer to the actress and her life story. It also helped us understand her views on some of the most essential matters in life including sex education, periods, feminism, stereotypes, and others. This transparent communication between the two was incredible to watch.
Ever since her childhood, Rakul Preet Singh has been a proper tomboy and now that she has grown up, this hasn’t changed. She might seem and dress more feminine now, but she is still, a true tomboy at heart. The conversation about her childhood also brought us closer to Rakul’s family and her mother who cleared all her doubts regarding periods, to help quench her curiosity. This was just an example of how fulfilling her childhood has been.
Now that Rakul Preet Singh has grown up, she has gone through life and learned some very essential lessons while doing so. During the episode, the actress looked back at her childhood and teen years. This can make anybody feel extremely nostalgic, right?

But this isn’t it, this also reminds us about the things that we would want to change about our formative years. Come on, we all have important messages for our younger selves, don’t we? But, interestingly enough, this isn’t true for Rakul Preet Singh. She wouldn’t change anything about her younger self. When she was asked to give a message to her 16-year-old self during a rapid-fire, she confidently looked at the camera and told her younger self to just stay the same.
Rakul strongly believes that there is beauty in the innocence of stepping into the real world for the first time, so she genuinely wouldn’t want to change anything. She believes that her younger self was very driven and focused on her goals and her advice for her would be to stay focused and driven because great things lie ahead for her, in life.
