As Aisha Ahmed who recently starred in Minus One sat down for a riveting conversation with The Male Feminist aka Siddhaarth Alambayan, she knew they were going to dive deep into some important issues. During her candid chat with the host about her childhood, the actress opened up about growing up in a small city and the restrictions she faced.

When Siddhaarth asked about her childhood, Aisha couldn’t help but think back to the days when she was living in a small town. While recalling her childhood in a small city, Aisha Ahmed said, ” You’re in a bubble, to ap bubble mein hi operate karte ho, apko pata hi nhi hai ki iske aage jana hota hai toh wo rokenge bhi nhi na matlab you’re happy you are living in that bubble“.

As Aisha settled into her new life in Mumbai, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of liberation. It was a stark contrast to her previous life in a small city, where restrictions were the norm. But what had changed? It turns out that Aisha Ahmed had her mother to thank for her newfound freedom. Aisha revealed that her mother, Ruksar, was always very supportive of her even when she was living in a small city.

But when she moved to Mumbai, she really stepped up and gave her the space to explore. For Aisha, this meant being able to do things she had never done before. She also talked about how she was finally able to stay out late and her time limitations, she said,” Timing ek time tak tha but then I was like let’s push it and see kya hota hai, kuch nhi hua and I was like ‘let’s push it more and see kya hota’ and then fir mai ek puri raat ghar nhi aayi, aur fir kaafi kuch hua but that would happen with anybody else.” And that, my friends, is how she got her mom to finally let her on night outs.

She also talked about how her mother has always been very cool, no matter what. And when the Minus One actress moved to Mumbai, her mother continued to support her in every way possinle. Aisha Ahmed also recalled a time, while growing up, when she was told to not run because it was not very girly and she didn’t realise it at that point because growing up her family never really put up any restrictions. How cool is that?
Honestly, we all can relate to this feeling because at some point in life, we all girls have been restricted from doing something but it feels really good to break that bubble and achieve freedom.
