The Male Feminist: Not Pay Disparity But THIS Sexist Behaviour Bothers Adah Sharma On Set

It’s interesting how each actress brings a different kind of injustice prevailing in the film industry. Things that one actress chooses to ignore whereas others don’t. Gender pay parity is one of the most common issues that actresses have discussed on several platforms. But recently, on the new episode of Hauterrfly’s The Male Feminist, actress Adah Sharma shifts our attention to sexism on the set that’s very subtle but felt by female actors on many occasions. In conversation with the Male Feminist, Siddhaarth Aalambayan, Adah Shama spoke about treatment on set that irritates her more than pay parity.

Furthermore, the 1920 actress added that she finds such sexist treatment on set very “Silly”. From her personal experience, Adah Sharma also stated that assistant directors “Talk down” to the female ADs but very respectfully to the male ADs. However, Adah also highlighted a bit from her experiences on set where has not faced such issues. As per the actress, one should not pass sleazy comments on actresses if they have nothing better so!

Many actresses like Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah have opened up about this kind of sexism on the sets. It’s sad to know that places, where progressive films are made, actually fail to apply the principles in real life too!
