‘The Rings Of Power’ Executive Producer Lindsey Weber Reveals The Camera Trick They Used To Recreate Tolkien Magic On Screen

Fans of the high fantasy genre are in for a treat as The Lord Of Rings: The Rings Of Power series has dropped! As much as Tolkien fans are loving the plotline, they have also showered immense love on the visuals and the direction of the series. It is quite hard to imagine the process the director of such a widely-loved show goes through to create the magic on screen and that, too, of such a massive show. Well, the executive producer of The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings of Power, Lindsey Weber, has shared insight on what were the camera tricks used to achieve the desired results that the fans have come to love so much.

Lindsey Weber talked about how they had to get it right as it is inherent to JRR Tolkien. She also said it all depends on the perspective and how one looks at it, and by that she means it can either look like a delightful challenge or a headache. Highlighting the difficulty of the task, Lindsey said, “It can be slow and tedious at times to make it all work, but hopefully the final product and magic trick feels really worth it and very Tolkienian.”

Talking about how the team managed to establish some of the shots, Lindsey said that it is like a carefully coordinated dance. Furthermore, the producer also said that sometimes it is as simple as ‘double rolling down a slope only to be replaced by the actor in the end.’ She also said that they use ‘old-school Lumière camera tricks’ to get some of the shots right.
