Thank You for Coming Trailer: Bhumi Pednekar’s Chick Flick On Orgasm Gap Looks Relatable, Punchlines Have Us Quivering!

Films and projects that portray female friendships are not made enough in the entertainment industry. And the ones that are made also do not do a great job of it. Well, a girl can only hope that a movie or series that she finds relatable about female friendships will be made soon. On that note, we have an all-female cast starrer, Thank You For Coming, releasing soon, The film stars Bhumi Pednekar, Kusha Kapila, Shibani Bedi and Dolly Singh in the lead and is produced by Rhea Kapoor. The film also marks the directorial debut of Rhea’s husband, Karan Boolani. The trailer of Thank You For Coming was dropped on September 6, 2023, and here are more deets about it.

The trailer starts with Bhumi Pednekar’s character talking about how all girls grow up fantasising about a happy ever after but the reality is often very different from it. At her 30th birthday party, Bhumi bursts into tears and tells her friends that she has never experienced an orgasm. What ensues next is chaos as Bhumi is all set to get married and during one of the pre-wedding functions, she experiences an orgasm but she is not sure who made her feel it.

Bhumi Pednekar looks uncomfortable in the role and we are really feeling her vibe. But her issue of not ever having experienced an orgasm might be relatable to many women. We hope the film delves deeper into the issue of the orgasm gap and not just leave it at the surface level and mock it.

Shehnaaz Gill was hardly given any screen time in the Thank You For Coming trailer. But from the scenes she was there, it looked like she was the girl in a girl gang who was always positive and the wise one!

Looks like Kusha Kapila is playing a vampy role, the kind who makes other women feel bad about themselves. It’s different from what she has done before. We’re excited to see Shibani Bedi as her character looks super sassy!

Dolly Singh looks like that friend in a girl gang who never sugarcoats and always speaks her mind.
