Sobhita Dhulipala Backs Katrina Kaif Amid Postpartum Trolling, Says “Women Are Expected To..”

After Katrina Kaif attended the Ambani family event during the Ganesh festival, she had to face crass comments about her body. This was especially disgusting because the actor attended the event months after giving birth to her son, Vihaan. Many celebrities, including Salman Khan and Parineeti Chopra, supported Katrina. It seems that Sobhita Dhulipala has also joined that list and shared her take on the entire matter.

Sobhita Dhulipala reportedly attended an NDTV event where she was asked about the scrutiny women have to deal with in the entertainment industry, particularly in light of the recent trolling Katrina Kaif faced amid her postpartum phase. The Made In Heaven star reacted by saying that women are expected to be strong, sensitive and many other things. She stated that different women handle things differently, so there is no generic rule. Sobhita added, “Like when you say that public criticism is disappointing, I am sure it can be for many people; we are all human. We just deal with it in a way that makes sense for us.”

Previously, Parineeti Chopra and Salman Khan also raised their voices against trolls after Katrina Kaif received hate over her weight gain amid postpartum. While chatting with Zoom, the Ishaqzaade star stated that the trolling of women’s bodies after pregnancy is “absolutely illiterate”. Parineeti further asked how and when stretch marks or any change in one’s body became negative. She urged women to live their lives and ignore these “uneducated people”. The actor also asked why female actors are scrutinised for taking certain kinds of messy roles after marriage while male actors are rarely questioned for doing the same thing. On the other hand, during the Bigg Boss 20’s Weekend Ka Vaar, Salman Khan slammed haters for calling out post-pregnancy weight gain. Many believed that he took a stand for Katrina Kaif.
