Simone Ashley stunned the red carpet at the F1 premiere recently. The Bridgerton actress recently made heads turn with her beauty at Brad Pitt’s F1 movie premiere despite the controversy that surrounded her appearance in it. The F1 movie was supposed to be Simone Ashley’s big break in Hollywood; however, people were disappointed to see no scenes of the actress in the film’s teaser or trailer. It has now been revealed that Simone’s role has been completely edited out of the film.
Simone Ashley At The Red Carpet For F1 Movie Premiere
The actress looked radiant as she walked the carpet in a gold Balmain gown that complemented her beautifully. Fans are praising Simone Ashley for her poise and grace as she still chose to show up at the premiere even after her scenes were cut from the movie.
What Happened With Simone Ashley And The F1 Movie
Variety first reported in 2024 that Simone Ashley has signed for Joseph Kosinski’s sports drama film F1. The actress was spotted at a shoot during the British Grand Prix at Silverstone Circuit in Northampton, England, at the time. No details about Simone’s role were revealed at that though. Then, in May, Simone Ashley talked to Elle about the opportunity, saying that she has a small part in the film but is very grateful to be a part of it.
However, disappointment was awaiting many fans and Simone Ashley herself when it was revealed that the actress’s entire role had been edited from the F1 movie. In an interview with People, director Joseph Kosinski said, “It happens on every film, where you have to shoot more than you can use. There were two or three storylines that ultimately didn’t make it into the final cut.” He also said that he would like to work with Simone again in the future. The actress has not publicly spoken about this situation yet, but her appearance at the movie premiere indicates that not all is bad blood between the actress and Joseph Kosinski.
Fans are angry at the F1 movie team for their treatment towards Simone. This also brings to light the broader issue of racism and sidelining actors of colour frequently in the Hollywood film industry.
