Famous actors Yash and Kiara Advani starrer Toxic: A Fairytale For Grownups has finally hit the theatres, and people have mixed thoughts about the same. The film also features some bold scenes of the two together as well as in a song called Tabaahi, which has been making a lot of headlines. And while many praise the chemistry between the two, a big misogynistic section of society has left some problematic comments on Sidharth Malhotra’s Instagram.
About Kiara Advani, Yash- Starrer Toxic
Kiara Advani’s husband Sidharth Malhotra took to his Instagram and shared an advertisement reel. Many bombarded the comment section with GIFs of his wife’s bold scenes with Yash. Many even trolled him for Advani’s scenes in the film with disturbing remarks questioning why he would “let” his wife do such scenes with another man. We don’t know about Sidharth, but it sure says a lot about the mindset of people who say such things. It is important to note that none of these comments was made under Yash or his wife Radhika Pandit’s post.
Many pointed out the patriarchal structure of Indian society where women are unfairly criticised while a man gets to do everything he wants. Many in the society also fail to recognise the difference between reel and reality and start making judgements based on something an actor does on screen. Such trolling under Sidharth Malhotra’s comment section is very problematic and unfair. One user rightly pointed out that such things never scare a secure man like Malhotra, and that he has always praised her for setting aside her professional life from her personal life.
