AICWA Issues Statement
In its official Tweet, the AICWA raised serious concerns regarding the false s*xual harassment case filed by Shilpa Shinde. In its statement, the organisation stated that the incident was alarming for both the Bollywood and the television industry. The statement further added how such allegations can cause severe damage to the image, mental health, reputation, and career of the accused. As per AICWA, such false allegations can bring severe consequences to their life.
The AICWA also raised concerns about how such false accusations would affect the credibility of the women who have genuinely faced incidents of harassment and exploitation and come forward to seek help in such cases. The AICWA has requested the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, to look into the matter and, accordingly, take action against the person in question. Here’s the Tweet.
