And in a recent turn of events, Bollywood actor Shamita Shetty was age-shamed and trolled for being single. Shamita Shetty Slams Trolls
Shamita Shetty shared multiple comments on her Instagram stories, one of which casually age-shamed her. The troll wrote, “Aapki age ho gayi hai pehle wali baat nahi rahi.” She replied, stating that ageing was a “natural process” and that one’s physical appearance can change over time. Shetty further pointed out that she was very healthy and fit for her age, and that was the only thing that mattered. The actor also responded to a comment asking why she had not gotten married yet. The comment mentioned that if she had married “on time,” her kids would have grown up by now.
Shamita questioned the troll why one always associates success in life with marriage. She further questioned why they followed single women on Instagram only to shame them with their patriarchal mindset. Shamita asked them to unfollow her, and we agreed. For the unversed, the actor has featured in many hit films like Mohabbatein, Cash, and Bewafaa, along with reality shows like Bigg Boss 15, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 9, and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8, and was last seen in the web series called The Tenant.
