Shah Rukh Khan Sends ‘Big Hug’ To ‘The Elephant Whisperers’, ‘RRR’ Team For Their ‘Inspirational’ Oscar Wins!

Congratulations and wishes are still pouring in for the Oscar winners from fans and celebrities alike! This year’s Academy Awards were quite special for India as two out of three major projects which were nominated won big. The Elephant Whisperers and ‘Naatu Naatu’ from RRR brought immense glory to our country as it was the first Oscar for them and India in their respective categories. Amid so much national appreciation for national talent and films, how could Shah Rukh Khan not wish the teams of The Elephant Whisperers and RRR? He took to his social media to shower congratulations on the team for their wins!

Taking to his Twitter handle, Shah Rukh Khan showered praises on The Elephant Whisperers and team RRR. He sent a big hug to Kartiki Gonsalves and Guneet Monga for bagging India’s first-ever Oscar in the Best Documentary Short Film category, and also to composer MM Keeravani, lyricist Chandrabose, director SS Rajamouli, Ram Charan and Jr NTR for bringing home an Oscar as their song Naatu Naatu became the first Indian song to have won in the Best Original song. SRK also added that both the Oscars were truly inspiring!

In his tweet, he said that the documentary highlighted the importance of sustainable living. Talking about ‘Naatu Naatu’, he said that it will be a song which will be remembered for years to come!

It was an honourable moment for India as ‘Naatu Naatu’ was also performed on the Oscars stage, making it the first Indian song to have been performed on such a global platform. Even though it was not Jr NTR and Ram Charan who performed the song live, the dancers did a fantastic job of putting up an energetic performance in front of the global audience.
