Exclusive: Scoop’s Karishma Tanna Talks About Outrageous News In Media Related To Her

For actors and actresses, hearing or reading something very controversial or in fact fake about them on the news is not something strange. They are celebrities and their life is out there in the public space is one reason always given to justify scoops around the stars. Recently, in an interview with Hauterrfly, the Scoop actress Karishma Tanna opened up about some outrageous news from the past that bothered her. Karishma Tanna will play the role of a crime reporter in this upcoming Netflix series.

In a conversation with Hauterrfly, Karishma Tanna was asked about the most outrageous scoop in the media related to her and how did she deal with it. To this, the Scoop actress said, “Media has been good to me till now and I have not come across anything outrageous as such.” However, the actress further added, “Some 10-20 years back there were random linkup stories, but nothing outrageous.” Karishma Tanna further added that after playing a journalist in Scoop, her appreciation for journalists has grown. Stating reasons for the same, she said, “It is a very tough job, and one has to have a very strong mind to go on the field and dig out scoop for the bylines.” 

The upcoming Netflix series of Karishma Tanna is based on the memoir ‘Behind Bars In Byculla: My Days In Prison’ by journalist Jigna Vora. The series is helmed by Hansal Mehta and also stars Prosenjit Chatterjee, Harman Baweja and Deven Bhojani in pivotal roles. During the interview, Karishma Tanna also spoke about her meeting with Jigna Vora on the last of the shoot, and what all training she took for her role.
