Sara Arjun Will Reportedly Play Madhubala In Her Biopic!

As per Variety India’s latest report, actress Sara Arjun will play Madhubala in her biopic, which will be helmed by Jasmeet K. Reen. The project, which was getting stalled repeatedly due to several reasons, is being produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s production company. The production for the same is expected to start in July 2026 and will be released on the OTT platform. Reports also point out that Sara Arjun has already started intense preparation for the said role. She is expected to have a stylistic and physical transformation for the same. The preparation also includes closely studying Madhubala’s mannerisms and replicating her iconic screen presence.

It’s worth noting that the filmhelmer had previously directed Darlings, which starred Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma and more.
