In a recent interview, Murder Mubarak star Sara Ali Khan opened up about her upbringing and how being raise by a single mother shaped her life and her personality. The actress revealed how it helped her learn that one has to take initiative to achieve things in life and nothing is served on a platter to anyone.

During a chat with ETimes, Sara Ali Khan was asked about how the strong women around her influenced her life. In response, the actress shared that living with a single mother played an essential role in shaping her life because at a very early age, she learned that no one was going to do anything for her. She went on to add that while that doesn’t mean that she does not get help and support, but it has helped her learn that one has to be a “mover and initiator” of their own life instead of just waiting around for things to happen.

The Murder Mubarak star highlighted that if one is lucky and the stars align and there’s God’s will, then things come their way but essentially one can’t wait for things to happen because that is not how life works. We agree with Sara on this one. Sitting around has never helped anyone. No wonder it’s said that God helps those who help themselves.
