When asked about Trishala joining Bollywood, Dutt replied to the reporter and said “Trishala is a forensic scientist and has a good job. Why would I want her to come here and shake her ass?” Responding to the same, many Reddit users lashed out at the actor for belittling a woman’s role in Bollywood. While some enquired if that’s how he sees other actresses, many said that Dutt’s mother herself was one of Bollywood’s most iconic actresses, and it is sad that he still thinks of the profession like that.

What surprises us the most is how someone who works in the same industry can call it a derogatory and scale it down to just “ass shaking,” and nothing more. Moreover, we don’t think parents, especially celebrity parents with the right platforms and voices should speak in this tone about their kids. For the unversed, Sanjay Dutt got married to actress Richa Sharma in 1987 and welcomed daughter Trishala in 1989. Sharma soon died in the year 1996 due to brain tumour.
