Sania Mirza’s Father Confirms Her Divorce As Her Husband Shoaib Malik Ties The Knot With Sana Javed

The rumours around tennis star Sania Mirza and husband/cricketer Shoaib Malik’s separations have taken a spot on the internet, for quite some time. What added to the suspicion was the news of Malik’s second marriage with Pakistani actress Sana Javed. In new pictures posted by the newly-weds on Instagram, Shoaib dropped the news of his second marriage with the actress, alongside a caption. Ever since the internet seemed confused about his ties with Sania Mirza, and whether they took the divorce or not.

While Sania Mirza has not responded to the news, her dad Imran Mirza reacted to the pictures, confirming their separation. Imran Mirza went on to announce that his daughter Sania took “khula” which is a unilateral divorce from the Pakistani actor. Speaking to PTI, Imran Mirza mentioned that “it was a khula”, which refers to the right of a Muslim woman to unilaterally divorce her husband. Both Sania and Shoaib have not cleared the air about their divorce, but this new statement by the tennis star’s father has brought some clarity to the rumours.

In the latest update, Malik tied the knot with Pakistani actress Sana Javed, who was also married to Pakistani actor and musician Umair Jaswal since 2020. Sania and Shoaib got married in the year 2010 and welcomed their firstborn son, Izhaan in the year 2018.
