While conversing with Variety India, Saif Ali Khan revealed why he and Kareena Kapoor have turned down collaboration in the past. According to him, discomfort and conflict lead to good chemistry. He stated that if he is worried about her comfort, that is not a good way to act. Saif also revealed what he thought about casting real couples in movies. The actor expressed feeling that it was very easy to offer something boring, adding that there was nothing as boring as a nice off-screen couple on-screen together.
Having said this, Saif also mentioned that the possibility of sharing a screen with his wife is still open when something fresh and exciting is offered to them. The actor referred to the project like Murder Mystery starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. He stated that husband and wife rekindling the excitement in marriage through a murder mystery was kind of fun. Further, the Sacred Games star hinted that if something like that was out there, they could consider working together. While reflecting on the possibility of sharing screen with the actress, he stated that any such project will have to be handled with care, especially because the people already know them as a couple. In the conversation, Saif also reportedly praised Kareena’s craft and screen presence.

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor tied the knot in 2012. The actors welcomed two sons: Taimur in 2016 and Jehangir in 2021.
