In a conversation with Pinkvilla, RJ Mahvash said that Samay Raina had asked her if she would attend India’s Got Latent 2. To this, she said that she would “definitely” come. For the unversed, Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia, aka BeerBiceps, got into trouble after the latter made a controversial joke on one of the episodes, which led to a big legal battle. Mahvash said that during the controversy, she did not know either of them and had just spoken to Ranveer. She added that she also got support from her fellow creators during her first production. She had invited some to the trailer launch of Section 108, featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Regina Cassandra.
She said that she wasn’t sure that they would come since Allahbadia and Ashish Chanchalani were “big names.” And when they showed up, she was happy. She said that humans make mistakes and asked people not to “roast” them further. She also said that they all were “great guys” and never crossed the line. Allabadia was scrutinised for his joke about parents and s*x on Samay’s show. This show caused a major debate on comedy, and political parties across the country demanded action against him.
