With close to 33 years in the business, an actress of that stature still feels she’s being less paid than her male counterparts, which is a shocking revelation. As much as of a surprise it came to us, Raveena mentioned how pay disparity still exists in Bollywood, and is something that she hopes changes. Adding to the conversation, Karmma Calling and Guilty fame director Ruchi Narain mentioned how the situation has changed for the better, but it surely still exists.

Citing an example, Ruchi also said that the good thing is that today, we can mount a show like Karmma Calling, with you as its face. “That is a good sign,” said Ruchi. Speaking about the changes she too wishes to see in Bollywood, is a hope for male actors, trusting female directors. During the interview, Narain mentioned that female directors still struggle to get budgets and big male stars for a project. Well, that’s a combination that even we’d like to see.
