Rashmika Mandanna Pens Lengthy Note About Becoming A “Punching Bag” For Trolls And Negativity. Dulquer Salmaan And More Offer Reassuring Words

If I ever got the chance, I will never voluntarily opt to become a celebrity. Because I know that I will not be able to handle the mass public scrutiny I will be put under, and actresses are far more criticised than actors are. People tend to forget that even these film stars are human beings. They want them to be perfect in every aspect of their lives but isn’t possible. Recently, Rashmika Mandanna broke her silence on all the uncalled-for hate and trolling that she was receiving. She penned a lengthy note on how the negativity she has been experiencing.

The Pushpa actress shared a picture of her overlooking a lake and wrote that there are things that are troubling her and she has decided to address them now which she should have done some time ago. She wrote, “I have been on the receiving end of a lot of hate ever since I started my career. Quite literally a punching bag for a lot of trolls and negativity out there.” Talking about the stardom and the ‘price’ that it comes with, Rashmika wrote that she understands that she is not ‘everyone’s cup of tea’. She also went on to write that if people don’t like her, it does not mean that they have to spew negativity against her.

The 26-year-old actress further wrote, “Only I know the kind of work I put in, day in and day out to make you all happy. The happiness you feel from the work I put out is what I care about most. I really am trying the best I can to put out things that both you and I are proud of. It’s heart breaking and frankly quite demoralising when I’m being ridiculed and mocked by the internet especially for things that I HAVE NOT SAID.”

Up ahead, she clarified that there are things that she said in recent interviews that are being turned against her. She wrote, “False narratives being spread across the internet that can be very harmful to me and the relationships I have in or outside the industry.” Rashmika Mandanna also wrote that she feels grateful for the love that she has been receiving as well. “That being said, I do recognise and acknowledge all the love I’ve been receiving from the rest of you. Your constant love and support is what has kept me going and given me the courage to come out and say this.”

Reportedly, Rashmika posted this lengthy message after she said that she has not watched the recent Kannada hit Kantara. People are misconstruing her response as not ‘respecting her roots’. Many of her fans and fellow celebrities came out in support of her by commenting on her post. Dulquer Salmaan, Hansika Motwani and others were among the ones who supported her.

Rashmika’s post only proves the pressure that the stars are put under for the minutest of things. People need to understand that just because she is a celebrity, it does not give them the right to trash her.
