It’s scary how AI and advanced technology are being used to spread lies among the masses. And now people are using it to fulfil political agendas during the election season. Recently, Bajirao Mastani actor Ranveer Singh became a victim of deepfake where his video was used to make people believe that he was endorsing a particular party. The actor has reacted to it on his social media handle.

How Did Ranveer Singh React?
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani star Ranveer Singh took to his Instagram handle to share his reaction to the deepfake images of him that are doing rounds on social media. In the story, Ranveer wrote “Deepfake se bachoo doston” (Be safe from deepfakes) with a skull emoji in the end.
What Deepfake Images?
On April 19, a deepfake video of Ranveer Singh from his trip to Varanasi was shared on social media. The edited video shows Ranveer Singh criticising BJP’s rule in the country, and showing the support of Congress. However, if you look very closely, it’s evident that the video is edited and there is somebody else’s voice edited with Ranveer Singh’s video.
