One of the most-awaited releases of this year is Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi starrer Ramayana. The trailer of the film directed by Nitesh Tiwari recently dropped, drawing mixed reactions from the audience. There were many kinds of criticism surrounding Ramayana’s VFX. Recently, at an event, producer Namit Malhotra, the director and Ranbir Kapoor reacted to this criticism. Here’s what they said. Read on.

Ramayana Team Reacts To Criticism

The country and the world are looking forward to the Nitesh Tiwari film on the Indian Epic. The trailer received mixed reactions from the public, with several concerns regarding the film looking VFX-heavy. Recently, in an interview with The Collider, Namit Malhotra, Ranbir Kapoor and Nitesh Tiwari have reacted to these conversations. During the interview, director Nitesh Tiwari confirmed that the team is just finishing the last VFX touches and called it a very difficult task. Actor Ranbir Kapoor addressed the criticism around the film’s VFX and said that people had no clue how CGI is done, and they simply think it was produced by AI. Ranbir Kapoor went on to talk about the hard work and effort that go behind doing the VFX of a film. The actor said that he had seen the director and other artists sit for hours to get the right VFX, even the colour of the sky. Ranbir Kapoor also added that it was tricky to convince and impress the audience with the CGI.

Even Namit Malhotra added to the conversation and said, he said that the team is doing everything to educate the audience and make them understand what all went into making the film, so ultimately it could get the due credit and praise it deserved.

For the unversed, Ramayana is set to release on Diwali, 2026. It will be released in two parts.
