Many actors from the Indian Film Industry have been interrogated in drug-related cases over the last few years. After Sushant Sing Rajput’s sudden demise, many Bollywood actors were questioned by the Narcotics department, which gave rise to a lot of controversies. Actress, Rakul Preet Singh was also one of the celebs questioned during that time. Now, she has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate for a drug racket that was busted in Telangana in 2017.
On December 16, Friday, Rakul Preet Singh was approached by the Enforcement Directorate in a drug-related and money-laundering case that was busted in 2017. The case has allegedly been linked to the Telugu film industry (Tollywood). Many actors from the industry were previously questioned in the probe. And, now the reports suggest that even Rakul Preet Singh has been asked to present herself before the Enforcement Directorate for interrogation on the same. She is reportedly going to be questioned on December 19, Monday. In the past too, Rakul Preet Singh appeared before the federal probe agency in September 2021.

Going by news reports, the drug racket was exposed in 2017 by Telangana’s Prohibition and Excise Department. It was a racket of expensive narcotics like MDMA and LSD. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) was set up to investigate the matter. They approached some 11 Tollywood celebrities, including actors and directors. Many were later questioned by Enforcement Directorate. Even Rakul Preet Singh was one of the celebs who was questioned by the SIT. And now, she has been summoned by the ED.
