Rakhi Sawant Loses Her Mother To Cancer, Celebs Jackie Shroff, Rahul Vaidya And More Pay Tribute

India’s favourite entertainer–Rakhi Sawant has always been open about her struggles, sacrifices and marriage in front of the media. For several weeks, the actress has been sharing updates about her mother’s health conditions. Her mom–Jaya Bheda was suffering from cancer and brain tumour for a longtime and was hospitalised in Criticare Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai’s Juhu.

But sadly on January 28, 2023 evening, Sawant lost her mother after a long battle with cancer. Sharing the news with the media, the actress was seen crying inconsolably, as she told them about her mother’s demise at 8.30 pm. She also added how her mother was in a lot of pain. She also confirmed the demise of her mother, aged 73 on Sunday. Sawant also shared the news with her fans through a heartfelt instagram post, where she wrote–”Today, my mother left me. And I have nothing to lose. I love you, Maa.”

Soon after the sad news of Rakhi’s mother spread over the internet, many celebrities expressed their grief. Taking to their Instagram handle and in the comments section of Rakhi’s post, celebrities from Jackie Shroff to Rakhi’s Bigg Boss inmates–Pavitra Punia, Rashami Desai and Bigg Boss Marathi 4 winner Akshay Kelkar also mourned her demise. Expressing his grief, actor–Jackie Shroff wrote,” I feel your pain having lost my mom dad brother their soul will always be with us.” Here’s what everyone wrote.
Actresses Rashami Desai, and Nisha Rawal Ridhima Pandit, offered their prayers and lent Rakhi strength to live through this personal loss.
The last rites of her mother will take place today at Municipal Christian Cemetery, Oshiwara, Andheri, West, Mumbai.
