Radhika Madan Opens Up About Attending TIFF For ‘Kacchey Limbu’. Says Language Barriers Don’t Exist For Movies Made With Honesty

In recent times, a lot of Bollywood movies have achieved that popularity. One of them is Kacchey Limbu which had its world premiere Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Actress Radhika Madan has made headlines for attending TIFF after being featured in the movie. She spoke about achieving such a milestone in her career and said that if a movie is done honestly, no linguistic restrictions apply to it.

Radhika Madan has been moving up and seizing every opportunity that has presented itself with movies like Shiddat, Angrezi Medium, and Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota since she started her career with Pataakha. Prior to this, the actress had gone to the TIFF to promote her film Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota. She went to the 47th TIFF this time to promote her film Kacchey Limbu. The actor shares her feelings on using the international stage.

The actor says that her biggest takeaway from the experience at TIFF is that, if a movie is created with complete honesty, there is no language barrier for the audience. She recalled scarcely seeing any Indians there, but she took note of how the audience responded to the film. She said that the audience’s response to the film made her realise that honesty overcomes anything. She believes that one does not need to speak a language to tell a story. This realisation has been her largest lesson and will guide her approach to all future films.

The Angrezi Medium actress has achieved fame in Indian cinema, but she was in amazement when an international festival like TIFF chose Kacchey Limbu. She said that there were many incredible movies with stars that everyone idolised but she had difficulty placing herself there. Radhika also mentioned how films are taken seriously in India when they receive foreign acclaim, which dramatically alters the course of the film and spoke about the the importance of a movie being seen by as many people as possible.
