‘PS-2’ Trailer: Promises More Action, Grander Sets, And Aishwarya Rai Taking Our Breath!

There are some film sequels for which the audience becomes really impatient. Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan is one of those films. The first part of the movie was highly praised by the audience and critics. And now, the wait for the second part is almost coming to an end. On March 29, finally, the trailer for Ponniyin Selvan-2 (PS-2)  was dropped. A film based on the novel by Kalki Krishnamurthy broke many box office records with its first part, and now even part 2 looks equally promising. Here’s what we thought of the trailer for  PS-2 produced under the banner of Lyca Production and Madras Talkies.

The Cholas are back and how! Ponniyin Selvan-2 (PS-2) directed by Mani Ratnam has a range of talented star casts like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan, Shobhita Dhulipala, Chiyaan Vikram and Prakash Raj among others. PS-1 was highly praised for its grand sets, VFX, direction and acting, so it is obvious that there is more expectation from the second part and well looks like it promises to meet the standards. From the trailer of PS-2, we can say that there will more action sequences and grander sets. Trisha Krishnan in her role as Kundavai is back again with the same charm and elegance.

In the PS-2 trailer, we do get some glimpses of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who plays Nandini, a brave and fearless Chola Princess. The actress looks beautiful like always but interestingly, we even get a slight glimpse of Nandini in her old age. So that quick glance is enough to elevate the audience’s anticipation. The film is originally in Tamil and the music has been composed by AR Rehman. The background score is upbeat and grand, to perfectly suit the setting and context of the film. The PS-2 trailer has been edited in a way that shows you all the important elements of the film while keeping the suspense intact.
