Pakistani film Joyland is continuing to garner praise and appreciation from celebrities. This drama film was premiered at the Cannes Film Festival 2022 and has also won awards for its representation of the LGBTQIA+ community. What is ironic is that Joyland was initially banned from screening in its own home country on the grounds of it having “objectionable scenes” while it garnered immense appreciation from all over the world. Global icon Priyanka Chopra has also showered praises on Joyland and called it a must-watch. She shared her review of the film on her Instagram handle.
