Actor Priya Bapat recently recalled a traumatic incident during the initial days of her acting career. She revealed about her film’s co-actor who continuously kissed her in an attempt to improvise the scene. Priya Bapat Recalls Harassment Incident
Priya Bapat opened up about an extremely disturbing experience that she had to face during her debut film. In a conversation with Filmfare, the actor spoke at length about the incident. According to Priya Bapat, the co-actor on the film repeatedly kissed her as a part of improvisation while they were shooting a song. Priya Bapat also said that she had raised questions about the necessity for a kiss in the film during the script-reading session. She further claimed that the actor went beyond what was decided in the script.
Talking about her emotions during the exact moment, Priya Bapat said that she did not know what to do then. The actor said that she could not take a stand for herself as she did not know how to deal with the situation. In the interview, the actor also said how her co-actor would ask her to join him during breakfast, as they shared the same hotel.
Priya Bapat recalled turning to her husband, Umesh Kamat, for help. Understanding the gravity of the situation, he flew to Mumbai and stayed with her for the next few days of the shoot, as per the reports.

This is utterly shocking, but also just another example of the entitlement that men carry everywhere. Such people have absolutely zero respect for women, professional boundaries and the well, the concept of a woman feeling uncomfortable is lost to them.
