In that, a member of the audience recalled his date with a woman who asked him to drop her home. He recalled thinking that if he had spent on the meal, he should definitely “recover” the amount. It was taken as a light joke, where even Pranit did not object or call him out, instead just kept laughing. After the same video went viral, the comedian finally shared an apology.

Pranit More took to his Instagram and shared a story and addressed the controversy over the same by stating that the comment made by the audience member does not reflect his views. Looking back on the incident on it, Pranit wrote that he should have challenged the remark instead of laughing and moving on and called it a lapse in judgment on his part. The comedian stated that live crowdwork often involves reacting in real time, but that’s not an excuse. He expressed taking the feedback seriously and shared that he will be more thoughtful in handling similar situations going ahead. The ex- Bigg Boss star stated that the clip has been taken down from everywhere, as he doesnt want to amplify or normalise those views.
Further, Pranit also expressed regret over the incident and stated that he would learn from it. The comedian acknowledged that he is a human, and like any other person he is constantly learning. He made sure to write that being called out when he gets something wrong doesn’t make him smaller, but it helps him grow. Pranit accepted that he could have handled this better, and he would be more mindful that he never unintentionally supports or normalises such views in the future.
