Prakash Raj Calls People Criticising Deepika Padukone “Besharam Bigots”
How long will this go on?Pathaan has not yet released and but it is painted with controversies already. The song ‘Besharam Rang,’ starring the lead couple, Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan was what actually sparked the controversy. The internet was divided in no time when the song was released. Where some of them loved the song, there were others who harshly criticised the song for Deepika’s choice of wardrobe, well, particularly the saffron bikini. However, one of the well-known actors in the Indian film industry, Prakash Raj has come out to support the actress. In a very straightforward and crisp way, the actor has kept forth his point on the whole controversy.

From Deepika Padukone’s bikini to Shah Rukh Khan dancing with a young actress, ‘Besharam Rang’ has received negative criticism on various levels. In fact, the Madhya Pradesh home minister released a statement saying Pathaan will be banned in the state if objectionable scenes are not removed from the song. To defend Deepika Padukone, Prakash Raj called such people “Besharam Bigots.” He questioned the absurdity of the criticism, where people are finding problems in an actress’s dress. Prakash Raj questioned the actual and serious crimes committed by “Saffron clad men” like rapes, hate speeches, or the incident where they garland rapists. He also used the hashtag “Just asking.” He also mentioned the protests taking place in Indore demanding the ban on the movie Pathaan.
#Besharam BIGOTS.. So it’s okay when Saffron clad men garland rapists..give hate speech, broker MLAs, a Saffron clad swamiji rapes Minors, But not a DRESS in a film ?? #justasking

This is the second time when Deepika Padukone’s song has fallen into controversy. In the past, she also became the target of some people for the song “Ghoomar” from the film Padmaavat. A certain section of society found Deepika Padukone’s dress problematic, and she even received death threats for it. A similar situation has been created again.
