While We Wait For ‘Pathaan’ Soundtrack To Drop, Here Are 5 Times Vishal-Shekhar Created Magic With Their Music

If there is a musical duo that creates absolute magic with their compositions then it has to be hands down Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani. The very talented duo has always given us hits that are evergreen. And ever since I came to know that they are the ones who are composing music for Pathaan, I just can’t keep calm. Yep, Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani are trending on Twitter as soon as the latter posted an update about the Pathaan soundtrack.

Yep, on November 22, Shekhar Ravjiani Ravjiani revealed during an event that “Abhi Pathaan release hone waali hai. Kaafi excitement hai. Humne kaafi wait kiya. Hum bhi chahate hai ki hamara pehla gaana jald hee release ho jaaye aur aap sune. Thank you so much for your love.” Fans can’t wait to see the magic he and Vishal Dadlani create.

Well, since we don’t have much choice and have to wait for Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani to release the Pathaan soundtrack, here are 5 movie albums that the music directors composed and were downright soulful:

1. Om Shanti Om

Do I have to even justify why Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan starrer Om Shanti Om’s music album is the first on the list? I mean, the film’s music is still regarded as one of the best with songs like ‘Ajab Si’, ‘Main Agar Kahoon’, ‘Deewangi Dewangi’, ‘Dard-E-Disco, and others.

2. Ra-One

If there is anyone who can get Akon to sing for Bollywood other than Shah Rukh Khan, then it is Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani. Songs like ‘Chammak Challo’, ‘Criminal’, ‘Dildaara’, ‘Bhare Naina’, and others are still on people’s playlists.

3. Student Of The Year

Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani created really exceptional tracks for the debut movie of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Sidharth Malhotra – Student Of The Year. I mean, can you really resist grooving to ‘Disco Dewane’, ‘Vele’, ‘Kukkad’, and ‘Radha on the dance floor’? I think not!

4. Sultan

The music album that Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani have composed for Sultan is downright magical. From ‘Bulleya’ to ‘Jag Ghoomeya’, every song on this album has a mood of its own while also retaining a central theme running through them that binds them together.

5. Dostana

Just like the movie, Dostana, its soundtrack is also legendary. Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani went to extreme moods while composing songs on this album – where on one hand you had songs like ‘Desi Girl’ and ‘Maa Da Laadla’, on the other you had ‘Kuch Kum’, ‘Khabar Nahi’, and ‘Jaane Kyun’.

After listening to these movie albums and more of the music composed by Vishal Dadlani and Shekar Ravjiani, I have really high hopes for the Pathaan soundtrack.
