Hema Malini will be receiving Dharmendra’s posthumous Padma Vibhushan Award. The legendary actor will be receiving the award for his contribution to Indian Cinema. The announcement to honour Dharmendra was made in January this year. The award will be presented by President Draupadi Murmu. As per the reports, the event is taking place today, and Hema Malini is already in Delhi for the same.
The exclusive Hindustan Times report suggests that Hema Malini will receive this honour on Dharmendra’s behalf, and she has called it an emotional moment for the family. Addressing it as a ‘big moment,’ the actor added that the entire family is aware of how huge this moment is.

When Did Dharmendra Pass Away?
The actor, also known as the He-Man of the Indian film industry on November 24, 2025, at the age of 89. He had many age-related issues, and the actor was admitted to the hospital for days before his demise. The actor’s funeral was attended by the family members, and many who’s who from the industry. Dharmendra’s family also held a prayer meet at a famous hotel in Mumbai.
