Odisha’s Shreya Lenka Is Only One Step Away From Becoming The First K-Pop Idol From India. This Is So Cool

We are definitely cheering for her!

If you know anything about the entertainment world then you’re probably well aware of the ever-growing K-craze all over the world including India. After the lockdown restrictions, we got caught in the whirl of Hallyu — the South Korean wave and our love for all things Korean grew day by day, especially for K-Pop. Now, if we can love K-pop with all our hearts then we should also be a part of it, right? And it might be possible because Shreya (Sriya) Lenka, is just one step away from becoming the first K-pop idol from India. OMG, we are so excited!

From Blackpink’s Lisa to Jackson Wang from GOT7, there are many K-pop idols in the Korean music industry who do not hail from Korea but shine like a star in the world of K-pop with their talents and there’s no doubt that fans love them. And now the 18-year-old Shreya Lenka from Odisha is all set to become the first Indian K-pop idol. Shreya Lenka is a trained dancer, singer, and yoga practitioner, currently she’s being trained by South Korea’s Music label DR Music Entertainment for becoming the fifth member of the K-pop girl group Black Swan.

While surfing on the internet, the K-pop enthusiast came across the opportunity to audition for a vacant position in the girl group Black Swan. After that, she made it to the final round of global auditions and now she is competing against Gabriela Dalcin from Brazil to secure her place in the group.

As part of her training, Shreya Lanka is learning the Korean dialect as well as polishing her dancing and singing skills. According to the reports, evaluations shall be based on the trainee’s skills, personality, and qualities to become a K-pop artiste and we can’t wait for the results.
