Nora Fatehi Recalls Intial Struggle Days: “I Came To India With 5K In My Pocket, Shared Flat With 9 Psychopaths”

Madgoan Express star Nora Fatehi recently opened up about her journey in Mumbai in the entertainment industry. Nora is known for her brilliant dance moves and with her recent movie Madgaon Express, she has been on the minds of people for a while now. In the conversation talking about her life in Mumbai, Nora revealed the harsh realities she faced when she first decided to step into Mumbai’s competitive entertainment industry.

In the conversation with Mashable, Nora reminisced about the time she came to India with only Rs. 5000 in her pocket. She said she had to live with nine girls in a three-BHK apartment. The star talked about how hard it was to fit into the new setting, especially with her roommates at the time. She confessed to doubting her decisions as she wasn’t prepared for that at all. Nora added that she was still traumatised after her experience.

Further into the conversation, Nora revealed her experiences with some agencies in the entertainment industry. Nora talked about some industries only trying to make money out of you. She added how these agencies would cut the pocket money, the rent, and their own commission from the money. These agencies will then give you only what is left which is nothing.

The star recalled having a diet of an egg, Nutella and bread and milk every day. Confessing that some agencies exploit people very badly. Nora added how we don’t have laws and regulations for these issues, calling it a very rough time in her life. Despite the hardships, Nora’s talent never fails to shine on the silver screen. With her debut in Roar: Tigers Of The Sundarbans to her energetic performances in Saki Saki and Dilbar, Nora has proved herself on multiple occasions.

Most recently, Nora was seen in Madgaon Express, directed by Kunal Kemmu and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. The film showcases Nora’s talent alongside an ensemble cast including Divyenndu, Pratik Gandhi, and Avinash Tiwary. Her versatility shines through in projects like Street Dancer 3D and Bhuj: The Pride of India.
