Newlywed Ankita Lokhande Opens Up About Planning Her Classy Wedding, And Her Makar Sakranti Plans
Ankita Lokhande tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend Vicky Jain in a royal set-up, on December 14, 2021. Saying ‘I do’ in the presence of her family and close friends, Ankita walked the aisle, wearing a beautiful Manish Malhotra golden lehenga and it was as magical as it can be. She also shared many beautiful pictures from the wedding festivities with her fans. Recently in an interview, the Pavitra Rishta actor opened up about her royal and classy wedding and how it was a happy and emotional moment for all the people who were present at the wedding including herself.

Ankita Lokhande mentioned that she got goosebumps when she walked toward the stage with the Ganga aarti playing in the background. She described their entry as subtle and full of feelings and she was happy to get married. The Pavitra Rishta actress also revealed that she had too much fun at her own wedding. She further added that all the guests were crying including Vicky when he saw Ankita in her bridal attire and she is quite glad about it. But seeing her father crying made her emotional as well.

According to the Manikarnika actress, she was not a fussy bride as she knew exactly what she wanted for her special day. She said, “Being an actor, I visualise things quickly. I’m not a confused girl. My outfits were also classy. I wanted to wear minimal jewellery as I wanted to show the glow on my face. I was even particular that I wanted a red garland so that it stands out.” She shared that Vicky and she had planned a few things for their wedding as every couple does and they were both were so happy when things turned out way better than they had imagined. “I always wanted my wedding to be different. My wedding was not too much tadak bhadak. It was very classy, just the way I wanted it,” she said in an interview with the Hindustan Times.

Talking about her first Makar Sakranti post marriage which will also mark the one-month anniversary of Ankita and Vicky’s marriage. Ankita mentioned that Makar Sakranti is considered very important in Marathi culture. Ankita’s mother has already prepared a lot of things like jewels made out of grains and there will be a haldi and kumkum ceremony. The newlyweds will wear black outfits and Ankita can’t wait to dress up for the special occasion.
