A casual moment in Bigg Boss 20 turned into headlines after television actor Mahhi Vij repeatedly used the word “bhabhi” while joking about Qazi Touqeer saying he wanted to watch Amrapali Dubey wear a saree. This led to the Bhojpuri audience worrying that the joke could be misunderstood among her audience and going to speak to Mahhi about the same. Read to know more about what happened here.

It all started after Amrapali was using the changing room and asking Qazi Touqeer to get out. Vij further helped her and made him understand that he must leave. After this, Mahhi Vij clarified that she meant no disrespect and added that she thought that bhabhi was equal to mom. She went on to reassure Amrapali that the comment did not have any disregard for the Bhojpuri industry. The two contestants also cleared the air on the topic later and apologised to the audience. The Bhojpuri actor said that the word “Bhabhi” meant much respect in their culture and also pointed out that references to the word were common in the songs as well.Mahhi also stood by her words that she was not serious and was just joking. During the conclusion, both of them stated that they did not want to insult anyone. Dubey said that the use of the word was not targeting any person or section of the industry. Bigg Boss 20 is being hosted by Salman Khan and premiered on September 6. The new episodes of the same stream on JioHotstar at 9 PM.
