Nayanthara’s Public Apology

On January 18, Nayanthara took to her social media handle to share a written apology to everyone whose feelings were hurt due to her film Annapoorni. In this long note, the actress clarified the pure intentions behind making the film like Annapoorni. She stated the film was made with the sole purpose of spreading a message of how strength can overcome any obstacle. She further wrote that Annapoorani’s motive was to instil positivity among the masses and the ‘spirit of never giving up’. Nayanthara further wrote that she did not expect the film to be removed from the OTT platform because it was a censored film that had been released in the theatres. She went on to apologise for unintentionally hurting the public’s feelings and also stated that she is a firm believer in God. In the last paragraph, Nayanthara again stressed the fact that Annapoorani was a film meant to ‘inspire and not distress’.
