The trailer of Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway starts by introducing its audience to the life of Debika Chatterjee played by Rani Mukerji. She takes us through her new settled life in Norway with her happy family of four after moving from Kolkata, India. But suddenly this beautiful life disrupts when Debika’s two children are taken away by the state of Norway on grounds that they were not being taken care of properly. The story is based on true events and takes us through the difficulties that come in Debika Chatterjee’s life when she tries to fight for her children. The movie will also give out some information about the business that takes place in such foster homes and how it financially benefits the people involved. From the trailer, we also know that Bengali will also be one of the languages spoken by the protagonist in the film which is a really good change in Bollywood because it helps to keep the storyline and characters authentic and relatable.

Rani Mukerji looks like the perfect fit for this character. In the two-minute trailer, she displays all kinds of emotions as a mother and already leaves a strong impact on the viewers. Apart from her, the movie has Jim Sarabh and Neena Gupta in pivotal roles. Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway looks fierce and empowering from its trailer and it is definitely a story that every Indian needs to see. Especially for the fact that how a country separates a mother from her children on grounds of cultural differences is intriguing! The film releases on March 17 in theatres near you!
