Mouni Roy Revealed As ‘Mysterious Queen Of Darkness’ In ‘Brahmastra’, Ayan Mukerji Says She’s The Surprise Package In Film
The makers of the upcoming fantasy film Brahmastra have the whole town talking regarding the characters of the film being introduced one by one. After unveiling Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna Akkineni’s characters in the form of motion posters, director Ayan Mukerji revealed Mouni Roy as the ‘mysterious queen of darkness.’ Taking to his Instagram account, he shared the poster and wrote a lengthy note alongside showering heaps of praises on Mouni for her contribution to Brahmastra.

The poster saw Mouni Roy looking all fierce and ready to rip apart anybody who comes in her way. Her iris’ were blood red in colour while her hair flew in directions. She is wearing a black jacket over a red top and her look is accessorised with a big nose pin and circular earrings. Mouni’s character in the film is called Junoon and darkness is the source of her strength.

Sharing Mouni’s look, Ayan wrote in the caption that he thinks a lot of people will walk out of the theatres talking about Mouni’s role especially. He further wrote, “Moun – who has deep belief and deep surrender for Lord Shiva – has always understood Brahmāstra very naturally – and with that understanding, she really killed it with her part in our movie! My first meeting with her, I offered her a ‘special appearance’ in Brahmāstra. Eventually she shot with us from our first day to our last schedule, and is really, the surprise package in the film!”
Mouni also went on to reveal her look on her Instagram handle and wrote in the caption, “JUNOON. After 5 years of anticipation, the possibility is now reality, कर ले सबको वश में अपने, अँधेरे की रानी है। ब्रह्मास्त्र को हासिल करना, यह जुनून ने ठानी है | Meet the leader of the Dark Forces… our Mysterious Queen of Darkness… Junoon! Watch out for Junoon in our Trailer tomorrow!”

Brahmastra will release in theatres on September 9, 2022, and is most definitely one of the highly anticipated films of the year.
