‘Moon Knight’ Star Ethan Hawke Reveals Daughter, ‘Stranger Things’ Star Maya Hawke Gave Him Tips To Deal With Marvel Fans
We usually take advice from our parents when we’re stuck in a situation but what if our parents took advice from us to handle situations? In an interesting situation, actor Ethan Hawke took advice from his daughter, Stranger Things star Maya Hawke on fitting into his role in Marvel’s Moon Knight and how to handle the pressure of living up to the expectations of Marvel fans.
In a conversation with ENews, Ethan Hawke, who has recently joined the MCU, shared that his daughter Maya Hawke gave him the most beautiful advice. He shared that the Stranger Things star told him that as a performer, his job is to engage with the viewers. Pointing out that he would want to lead and work in what he believes in, the actress said, “We want people to care about art. This is what people care about. They really have a passion for the material.” She further told Ethan Hawke to respect the Marvel fans and their fandom and give them something that is worth it.

Speaking further Ethan Hawke also spoke about his daughter joining the cast of Stranger Things in season 3 and said that it is ‘a huge adventure’ for Maya to be a part of Stranger Things world. Pointing out that the series has quite the following, the actor said that one knows they’re entering something and have a responsibility to do a good job while adding that the same goes for his role in the upcoming Marvel series Moon Knight. The actor shared that there are no failures when there are no expectations but considering that there’s a lot of expectation here, not doing a good job would mean that the fall would be greater.
Talking about being a part of MCU, Ethan Hawke shared that he always wanted to be a part of Marvel movies but it was meeting co-star Oscar Isaac that made him take it up. “I’ve definitely thought about doing it. What made it clear that this was the one was just Oscar Isaac. I met him and felt his passion for this part and how much he wanted to do it,” the Moon Knight star told ENews.

Ethan Hawke stars alongside Oscar Isaac in the series Moon Knight which is based on the Marvel comic book character of the same name. The Academy Award-nominated actor will be playing the role of the antagonist, a cult leader called Arthur Harrow who goes against the hero, Moon Knight, played by Oscar Isaac. The series is all set to release on Disney+ Hotstar on March 30.
