What Did Vismaya Mohanlal Say?
While conversing with FTQ, Mohanlal’s daughter, Vismaya Mohanlal, expressed standing by what she said and believing that we are a democracy. She stated that we should be allowed to question and be heard. Vismaya shared that we should always have a dialogue instead of force. According to her, politics should never supersede humanity. She added that regardless of which party is in power, if the same happens tomorrow, she would still feel the same way. For the unversed, her previous social media post in question stressed the importance of democratic values during protests. She mentioned that one doesn’t have to agree with the protestors or support their demands. However, according to Vismaya, if the response to citizens raising their voice is overwhelming force instead of dialogue, every person should stop and ask what kind of democracy we are becoming!
