Miranda Otto In LOTR Anime

As per a report by Deadline, Miranda Otto will reprise her role as Eowyn, Shieldmaiden of Rohan, as the narrator in this anime film. Let me brush your memory up a bit. In the LOTR films, she single-handedly slew the Witch-King of Angmar while being disguised as a man.  Her badassery makes her one of the most favourite characters in the trilogy! The voice cast of the film also includes Brian Cox who will voice the King of Rohan. Other voice casts of the film includes Lorraine Ashbourne, Yazdan Qafouri, Benjamin Wainwright, Laurence Ubong Williams and Shaun Dooley among others.

This film is directed by Kenji Kamiyama and tells the story of what happened 183 years before the events of the Lord Of The Rings. It will revolve around Dunlending lord, Wulf, who seeks to avenge his father’s death. The plot will further chronicle the story of Helm Hammerhand and his kingdom of Rohan and the wars they fought.
